Each manufacturer makes custom brackets that wrap around the truck frame and bolt on, or use existing frame holes. In certain applications drilling is required on some installations.
Keep in mind if you have a short bed truck you will need a Sliding Hitch to maintain your turning radius.
Another option to consider is mounting a 7-way electrical plug inside the bed of your truck. Some customers choose to drape the cord over the tailgate and plug it in at the bumper. Most prefer the plug in the bed option to keep the electrical cord secure.
